I tried everything I could think of, even to delete the Archive folder and trying to rename to the Archive1 folder. I just tried to delete the errant folder using the normal folder delete options such as ctrl-click and menu>mailbox>delete mailbox with absolutely no success. I am not sure if it appeared during an MacOS upgrade, an Outlook upgrade, or through user error. Sometime in 2016, I discovered a rogue folder in my Outlook for Mac email named Archive1.
